About Me

My name is Raphael Martin. I live in north London.

I own a small business called THE LIT SHOP LTD. I work for theatres in the UK and around the world and help them discover plays and playwrights. I spend my days reading plays. I have worked at the following places: The RSC, ATG, The Bush, The Gate Notting Hill, Sonia Friedman Productions, The Royal Court Young Writers Programme, The National, Manhattan Theatre Club, and Soho Rep.

Aside from theatrical pursuits, I also love food — both eating it and cooking. When I’m not in a dark room seeing a play, or in my kitchen cooking for myself and my family, I go to museums and galleries and concerts and bookshops and the movies.
