Exhibition pieces from FOOD: BIGGER THAN THE PLATE at the V&A Museum

This is an extraordinary exhibit currently playing at the Victoria & Albert Museum. Museum and food — what could be better? The exhibit looks at the future of what we eat and how we will eat it. Coffee cups made out of coffee grounds (they are dishwasher safe!), leather made out of pineapple skins in the Philippines, cheese cultured from human elements: sweat and pubic hair and saliva all which are culturing in the exhibit. The exhibit looks at the great food circle: crop production to distribution to what happens to the waste. My head was buzzing afterwards!
