Faber & Faber

I saw an old colleague at this wonderful publisher yesterday. Walking in to reception my eyes popped out of my head. Behind the receptionist was a vast wall of the company’s new books. I went straight for a new, yet-to-be-published book by sharp, steely and limpid novelist Rachel Cusk. ‘Oh take it!’ the receptionist told me. After my meeting my bag couldn’t be more weighed down — Martin Crimp, Harold Pinter, Samuel Beckett…and Rachel Cusk! Looking forward to thumbing through the new history of Faber & Faber that just was released too.
